From The Hospital

 Have you noticed I've been absent?
 I had to go to the emergency room about a month ago and was admitted from there to the hospital where I've been ever since.  I was diagnosed with kidney failure and am hoping to get well, to re-build my stamina, and return to my life as it was.  I the meantime, I won't be able to write new posts-at least, not for awhile.  I am squeezing this one out for those of you who have just been left wondering------ 'What happened to Paula?', for those new followers who thought they had found something for their own inspiration and then it may have seemed to semi-disappear, and for those who have been supporting me  so faithfully for so long as I have been building the blog.  I miss you!  And, you deserve an explanation.

~~~Thank you for your loyalty~~~
I do have a few posts I had written, before I got sick, which are in draft.  Would you like for me to publish those?
One is about anger and self-righteousness, one is about inviting new members, one is about the members we have, one is a link to someone else's idea of how to choose a therapist, one is about how the licensing process has changed during the time I have been a therapist.  Which of these would you like to read?
I won't be able to create new material for you here until my energy improves. (much as I want to).  The other thing you can do is what Sebastian has been doing,  making it a quest to go into the archived posts and read all of those that interest him.  You can also still comment to me and to each other, on the posts (I will be reading what you write).
Above all, don't give up on me.
Getting back to my blog development is one of my primary goals!
I'd love to see some notes from you right here in the comment section.
  1. Holy cow, Paula! That's awful! I think your first commitment should be to healing yourself and getting better. If posting helps you do that, then go for it. If not, then recline (and ask if they have a music therapist). :- ) Go, fight, heal!
  2. I hope you spend time focusing on your health and healing. That is a priority! And when you feel up to it, go ahead and publish those posts. Set them up (if they're finished) to automatically post every couple of days or one per week, etc.
    Sending thoughts of healing.
  4. I am sorry to hear that you are in the hospital. I personally knew someone with kidney failure, many years older than you, and she fought the good fight for many years and lived long. It sounds like you are a very strong soul and I am positive that you will be here for many years to come. If you are up to doing anything at all, I would suggest the first posting you listed regarding, anger and self-rightousnous. One befitting the world today. I admire your strength and desire to still help others while you deal with your own challanges. I look forward to seeing/hearing from you soon. Take care.
  5. Paula, I am so sorry to learn of your illness! Without a doubt, I am certainly not alone in saying that I /we have missed your wise counsel and blithe spirit in the past few weeks. Rest, get well, learn about yourself, and come back to us soon! I will pray for your complete and speedy recovery.
  7. Paula, I was shocked and I am still shock when I heard from of your friend in Yoga class that you passed away two weeks ago. .You helped me a lot when I went through my health issue and I wish you communicated with me about your health so I could have done for you what you did for me.
    We all missed you at Yoga class
  8. Paula, I too just found out about your passing and am so shocked and saddened. You were truly a sincere and caring woman that will be missed by so many. If anyone knows if she was laid to rest nearby, I would truly like to go pay my respects. This is just too hard to fathom; it's surreal. She has always been there when I needed her and made me feel so safe and free to say whatever I needed to say. She was one of a kind, and my sincere condolences go out to her family. I have a daughter who I am very close to, and she often told me her relationship with her daughter was like mine with my daughter. I will be praying for her family to have the strength to endure this great loss. She loved you very much. And prayers go out also, to all of her patients that will miss her as well. Rest in peace Paula. Gone much too soon, but never forgotten.
